IF YOU WANT AND Can Afford The Best!
Hoffman's Super Hi-Proteen, long known as Hi-Proteen Special, has been proving a sensation. All Hi-Proteen products are good, all are complete foods, all contain a high percentage of Class A, the best complete proteins, all the amino acids, natural minerals and vitamins, all are scientifically blended and serve their purpose well, but the super Hi-Proteen is a superior product. Super Hi-Proteen is a blend of special nutrients from the best protein sources, skillfully and scientifically processed so that it has a higher coefficient of digestibility and assimilability. That's why Super Hi-Proteen Builds Better Bodies Faster. The products contained in Super Hi-Proteen, which rate from 90 to 99% of Class A protein, are so processed through the predigested enzymatic hydrolosates they contain, that the body assimilates up to 99% of their health, energy and body building qualities. That's why Super Hi-Proteen Builds Better Bodies Faster.
The palatability, low toxity and rapid physiological utilization of the material it contains makes Super Hi-Proteen a highly therapeutic product which is easily digested and assimilated, and also serves, as a catalyst in the digestion. of other proteins. That's why Super Hi-Proteen Builds Better Bodies Faster. Super Hi-Proteen has been processed and compounded so that it is offered in a palatable, concentrated form for those who through their underweight, undeveloped condition, their lack of strength, their lack of energy, their constant fatigue, have proven that they are unable to utilize fully the proteins in the usual diet.
Although Super Hi-Proteen contains no commercial sugar or artificial flavor, it has a pleasant, bland taste. A very important rule of nutrition is that the body digests and assimilates fully only those foods which it likes. Most high protein foods, those with a high amino acid content, have an unpleasant odor and taste, and although they may be high in protein to begin, upsetting the user's digestive processes as they do, only a minute part of the value they contain can be utilized by the body. Super Hi-Proteen is the best tasting very high protein food. It is a concentrated source of proteins of high biological value. It supplies all needs for growth, for body building and maintenance, in such a form that even those whose poor physical condition has proven their lack of ability to utilize ordinary proteins can make full use of it and obtain maximum benefit from it. That's why Super Hi-Proteen Builds Better Bodies Faster. It contains mixed amino acids, with especially large amounts of the essential 10.
Super Hi-Proteen is made up entirely of the best natural proteins processed to a very advanced state so that only the best and most desirable qualities remain. That's why Super Hi-Proteen Builds Better Bodies Faster. Super HiProteen is designed to be used where more energy and a high degree of protein food quality is desired. It contains an entirely new milk source protein nutrient, in which substantially all the lactose has been converted into galactose and glucose, just one step removed from glycogen or blood sugar. That's why Super Hi-Proteen is so quickly and easily absorbed by the body. The super proteins in this product build better bodies, healthy tissue, rich blood, strength and muscle.
We repeat, if you want and can afford the best, Super Hi-Proteen is what you need. And it is not so expensive either. A pound of Hi-Proteen powder contains 50 teaspoonfuls, or average month's supply. You will benefit from as little as one teaspoonful a day; if you use it faster, you will receive even more benefit. Approximately a thousand large size tablets, two pounds, is priced at $10.00. You should use both Hi-Proteen powder and tablets, so that you will have this best of all protein foods available for your use at all times.

Some people warn against exercise, their argument being that it creates hunger an you will quickly get back what you lose. Only 300 calories an hour are required to stroll along the level street at three miles per hour. Yet 1200 calories are used in climbing up stairs for an hour, and 2000 calories are burned up by an hour of vigorous barbell training. I, for one, enjoy eating good food and am willing to earn the privilege; to exercise and lead an active life. I like vigorous dancing, but to me it is exercise and caloryconsuming too. While others sit and drink and eat potato chips and pretzels, I drink only water and do not eat these between-meal snacks. They marvel at my energy and endurance, and wonder how I do it. It is simply by following a sane system of living. You can do the same. Try it and see how much better you feel. Do not let yourself get fat.

IROW GAME INCIDENTALS
By PAUL WALDMAN with postscripts by
On February 12, 1955, at the Central Y.M.C.A. in Washington, Al "Buzz" Brock sat among an audience which bug-eyed and open-mouthed saw Paul Anderson press 375, snatch 320 and clean and jerk 405 for a total of 1100, the first man ever to do so using the three Olympic lifts alone. Paul came close to bettering even this extraordinary total. He pressed 385 in good style, but his left foot slipped before he received the signal to put the weight down, and he came very close to cleaning and jerking 426. Other outstanding lifting was done by Yas Kuzuhara, who totaled 710, establishing a national record, and Charles Vinci, of York, Pa., who totaled 660 while weighing less than 123. Isaac Berger, somewhat off form, put up 665 lbs., some 20 pounds less than what he is capable of doing. However, Isaac only 18 and has many years of excellent lifting ahead of him. In the physique contest Corporal Arthur Harris, a former Mr. New York State winner, not only won the physique title, but all subdivisions except those for best legs and best chest.

Yas Kuzuhara won the award for best legs, while Thomas Sansone, last year's Mr. National Intercollegiate titleholder, won that for best chest. Buzz states. that Thomas, a young fellow of 19, has the frame and looks to win the Mr. America title and suggests that we keep our eyes on him. That we shall do... In the thirty-sixth annual games of the New York Chapter, Knights of Columbus, staged before a crowd of 10,000 at Madison Square Garden, in New York City, Bob Richards hoisted his muscular frame over 15 feet 42 inches in the pole vault, thus bettering his own K. of C. meet and Garden standard by half an inch.. Big Jim Pappas has left Fort Dix for Greece, where he will probably complete his two-year tour of duty with Uncle Sam, serving in the capacity of a linguist... Roger Servin, who personally supervises the training of members of the Esquire Health Club at 424 Johnson Street, in Jenkintown, Pa., is now the editor of that organization's Esquire Health Club News. Recent visitors to "Muscletown" were Herb Schiff (left) and Fred Blassie. Schiff last year ranked among the best heavyweight lifters with his 300-310-370 for an official 980 total, and is now rapidly rising in the pro grappling game. Blassie, currently recognized as Southern heavyweight champion, practices weight training occasionally as a conditioner. The versatile Blassie has made numerous movie and television appearances as an actor.
